Ash talharpa prototype (alto/viola range) – charred black finish

This instrument has a body made from a single piece of white ash with a western red cedar soundboard. This is a prototype and will have some small finish dings (but nothing major) discounted to reflect this

• Quartersawn hard maple bridge
• D’addario Zyex (long) medium tension viola strings on lower 2 strings, nylon on high string (also includes Zyex high string if you want to swap)
• 15.25″ Scale length
• 2.75″ deep
• 24″ long (including tuning keys)
• Paracord “tailgut”
• Bass tuners
• Rosewood “nut”
• Spruce soundpost and bass bar
• Engraved note/finger positions on sides of “neck”
• Charred black finish with a polyurethane top coat
• 16 notes easily reachable including the open string
• Playable tuning range from AEA to DAD (DAD is getting a little high tension sounding, switching to “light” tension Viola strings would be ideal if you plan to play there frequently) CGC is optimal
